Andrew recalled from Millwall loan spell

Crystal Palace have handed Kyle De Silva a professional contract, while Calvin Andrew has been recalled from his loan spell at Millwall. Young striker De Silva has been at the club since he was 14 and the contract will come into effect on his 17th birthday. The Eagles' Academy manager Gary Issott told the club's official website: "The hard work starts now for Kyle. His form's been very good this year playing just off the striker. "He's scored a lot of goals for us and his work ethic has improved hugely this season. "He's a left-footed player and he's very quick. It's that electric pace which makes him a bit different from the players who usually play in that position. Not many players have that ability." Meanwhile, Andrew has seen his loan move to Millwall cut short earlier than expected by Eagles boss George Burley. The 23-year-old striker made three consecutive starts for the Lions, helping them to a 1-0 win at Middlesbrough, a 0-0 draw at Preston and a 3-0 home win over Scunthorpe, before being an unused substitute in the 1-1 result away to Swansea on Friday. Andrew, who failed to score during his spell, was due to remain at the Den until January but Palace have exercised their right to recall the player after 28 days of the deal.
