Rochdale have confirmed that Warren Goodhind has left the club by mutual consent.
The defender had not played all season for the League Two side and was due to become a free agent at the end of the campaign.
However, the Spotland club have decided to accelerate his departure by agreeing to cancel his contract by mutual consent.
After failing to make a first-team appearance at Rochdale for a full 12 months, Goodhind has now departed and manager Keith Hill has wished the 29-year-old South African well.
"Despite things not working out well for Warren here, he has remained the ultimate professional," Hill told the club's official website.
"Sometimes players can become bad apples in situations like this, but he always remained committed to the cause and I haven't had a bad word to say against him. We all wish him well."
