Rochdale have offered new contracts to Ernie Cooksey and Simon Ramsden.
Both players are out of contract at the end of the season, but have now been offered chances to remain at Spotland.
Central defender Ramsden has been offered a two-year deal and looks set to stay.
"On a personal level I'm over the moon," he said.
"I had a lot to prove in a short period of time and the gaffer has rewarded my efforts with the offer of a new contract."
Midfielder Cooksey has been offered a 12-month deal.
Meanwhile, the remaining six-players out of contract at the club - Tony Gallimore (pictured), Scott Warner, Ben Kitchen, Lee Cartwright, Blair Sturrock and Neil Brisco - have been released.
