Oxford United have signed Rochdale right back Warren Goodhind on a month's loan.

The South African-born defender arrives at The Kassam Stadium after making a dozen appearances for Steve Parkin's side, having moved to Spotland back in late September.

Goodhind has spent most of his career with League Two sides Barnet and Cambridge United.

When Cambridge suffered relegation from The Football League at the end of last season, Goodhind was one of 12 players to be axed by the Abbey Stadium outfit.

The 28-year-old will be available for Oxford's trip to Bury on Saturday, with manager Brian Talbot pleased to have Goodhind's services.

"Warren is an experienced right back, and will do well for us," Talbot told the club's official website. "We are short of bodies with John Dempster suspended and Jon Ashton struggling, so it was important that we got someone in and Warren now has a chance to show us what he can do."
