Allen was sent off at Ashton Gate for two bookable offences and he has already served out a one-match suspension.
However, he has been charged by The FA following the incidents during the match and will now have to attend a disciplinary hearing.
Rovers will be hoping that his misconduct charge does not result in a further ban for Allen.
