ROCHDALE goalkeeper Neil Edwards is expected to miss the remainder of the season with a combination of injuries.

Edwards has been beset by a trio of injury problems and has conceded he will almost certainly be sidelined for the closing months of the campaign.

The 32-year-old's most serious injury is an inflamed cartilage in his pelvis which was discovered after a scan on his nagging groin problem last week.

He also has knee and knuckle injuries which require treatment and Edwards was bitterly disappointed to learn he will be absent from the Spotland line-up.

"I've been struggling for the last couple of months with the groin injury and in recent weeks I've been doing hardly any training at all," Edwards told the club's official website.

"Sadly, it looks like I'll miss the rest of the season now and I'm gutted about that.

"I have three injuries at present, my groin, my knee and my knuckle and it looks as though I'll need treatment on all of them."
