Hard work ahead for Peterborough

Peterborough boss Dave Robertson has cancelled all days off as they bid to claw their way back into the League One play-off places.

A goalless draw against Walsall at the ABAX Stadium on Easter Monday left Posh six points off the top-six with just five games remaining. A lack of goals was hardly a surprise as these two teams battled out a third successive stalemate to continue their current barren runs. It was a fourth blank in five games for Posh while Walsall failed to find the net for a fourth successive match. Robertson said: "It was one of those games where we are left disappointed to only take a point. "The teams cancelled each other out in the first half. I asked the lads to be braver in the second period and they were. "The players have nothing to lose for the rest of the season and they are not going to have any days off. "We are not going to work their socks off them every day - but a lot of the days we will. "We will be doing some team building stuff and some video work as well and everyone understands there has to be sacrifices." Walsall boss Dean Smith felt that perhaps his side might have done enough to win the match. He said: "It's very frustrating not to win as I thought we were in total control except for a 10-minute spell in the second half. "The end product is just missing from our game at the moment but we must continue believing in the way we are playing as the level of performance is there. "I can't fault the effort of the players at all, but we have two home games to come now and it is important we find a way to put the ball in the net. "We hope to have Tom Bradshaw back soon who has scored 16 goals this season and that will be a massive help."
