Peterborough manager Darren Ferguson has been handed a two-match touchline ban after admitting an Football Asssociation improper conduct charge.

Ferguson was charged with using language and or behaviour, which amounted to improper conduct, during half-time of the game against Colchester United on January 10.

Following an incident referee Jeremy Simpson ordered Ferguson to watch the second half of the match from the stands at the ABAX Stadium.

The FA also fined Ferguson £1,000 and warned him as to his future conduct, but his suspension has been stayed, pending receipt of the written reasons for the decision of the Independent Regulatory Commission.
