Pressley pleased with win

Coventry's second-half fight-back in a 3-2 win over Peterborough was a step in the right direction according to Steven Pressley.

The Scot saw his slide slip two goals behind at home for the second week in succession, but their spirited display saw them clinch a first league win in eight matches. Pressley said: "That was very satisfying. There was a clear message at half-time that we could not get anxious and that we had to believe in what we were doing. "Football matches can change very, very quickly and I was really proud of the players. "That's a situation we have been in before - being 2-0 down at home and it's very easy to go under. "But the response was magnificent. "The energy of the group was excellent and I've said to them in the dressing room that this is the first step of thousands that this football club needs to take. "I will never be completely satisfied until I see us where I believe we should be, so while I am very pleased with this result, I know how much more hard work is needed. "The players will be in every morning and afternoon this week because we need to turn this corner. "At some point you need to take that step forward and the manner of our win means we can do that." It was all going well for Peterborough when they took the lead through Jon Taylor, who slotted home Marcus Maddison's pass in the 17th minute. It was 2-0 10 minutes later when Maddison cracked home a 25-yard free-kick and there appeared to be no way back for Coventry. But Ryan Haynes curled the ball home after a good move for the home team just four minutes into the second half and suddenly a wave of confidence ran through the home team. Jim O'Brien equalised after 62 minutes - finishing another good move - before Frank Nouble's shot was deflected in to win it for City. Peterborough manager Darren Ferguson said: "We were very comfortable at 2-0, without playing really well. "They were clearly nervous but in games of football most teams have a period of play and you have to see it through - we didn't. "I'm always respectful of the opposition - you can always say 'credit to them for keeping going' but, no, not here, we've given them the game. They are not the standards I expect. The players owe me one after that. "We've completely given the game through no-one's fault but our own. "You go 2-0 up in a game and look extremely comfortable then give a goal away and suddenly come under a lot of pressure, it's not good enough. "The team is a reflection of the manager so I have to take responsibility, but we have shown ourselves capable of digging in this season but in this game, for whatever reason, we lost our composure and let them get to us."
