Peterborough United director of football Barry Fry has no plans to sell Lee Tomlin and has dismissed talk of an approach from Huddersfield Town for Gabriel Zakuani.

Defender Zakuani was placed on the transfer list by Peterborough back in May after rejecting the offer of a new three-year contract.

Reports have claimed that Huddersfield are willing to offer Zakuani the opportunity to return to the Championship at the John Smith's Stadium.

However, Fry has stated that the only Peterborough player that Huddersfield have shown an interest in is Tomlin, and the striker is not for sale.

"The only player Huddersfield have ever spoken to me about is Lee Tomlin and there's no way we are letting him go," Fry told the Peterborough Evening Telegraph.

Tomlin has scored 33 goals in over 130 appearances since joining Peterborough three years ago and he was on target in the 2-2 draw at Huddersfield in April.

Terriers boss Mark Robins has been busy strengthening his attack over the summer after completing a permanent deal for James Vaughan, signing Martin Paterson and bringing Jon Stead back to the club.
