Minstermen move for Irish midfielder

Sky Sports understands Peterborough midfielder Daniel Kearns is set to join York City on loan. Kearns has yet to feature for Peterborough this season after only just recovering from injury which ruled him out of Darren Ferguson's plans. The 21-year-old is now back to full fitness and Posh are keen to send out the Irishman on loan so that he can get some valuable first-team action under his belt. Kearns joined Peterborough from Dundalk last summer and he impressed at London Road, making 20 appearances last term. A number of clubs are thought to have expressed an interest in signing Kearns on loan, but York have moved quickly to strike a deal with Peterborough for the attacking midfielder. York boss Gary Mills is keen to bolster his squad and he has agreed a deal to take Kearns on loan for a month.
