It is clear I won't be staying on, admits midfielder

David Norris admits he has played his last game for Portsmouth and is just waiting to discover his next club. Pompey were relegated to League One last season and need to sell a number of players in order to cut costs at the administration-hit club. Norris falls into that category and is reportedly being tracked by newly-promoted Sheffield Wednesday. But the 31-year-old insists he remains in the dark about his future, even though he knows it will not be at Fratton Park.

Matter of time

"To be honest, it's just a matter of waiting and seeing what happens," he told The Portsmouth News. "It appears to be just a matter of time. "I am waiting for a phone call - a call to say a bid from another club has been accepted and I need to drive over there to hold talks. "I don't think there is anything I can do to stay here. Even if the club was taken over it is clear I won't be staying on. "They just need to get money in to move forwards."
