Dagenham & Redbridge have announced the return of Dominic Green on a free transfer following his release by Peterborough

Dagenham & Redbridge have announced the return of Dominic Green on a free transfer. The winger became a free agent in late June, allowing the Daggers to make their move despite the closure of the transfer window. Green left Victoria Road for Posh three years ago for an undisclosed six-figure fee but he struggled to make an impact, enjoying loan spells at Chesterfield, Rushden & Diamonds and St Neots during his time at London Road. And Daggers boss John Still is delighted to have secured the return of the 22-year-old. "We sold him a little while back for a substantial fee and we've now brought him back here for nothing. He's still a young man whose game is still developing and I think it's a no brainer for us," said Still. "To me the most pleasing aspect of the deal is that this is the only place Dominic wanted to come, and we certainly wanted him. I'm sure he'll be a great signing for this club and will show us some great stuff."
