Skysports.com understands Sam Baldock's proposed move to Peterborough from MK Dons has fallen through.
As revealed by skysports.com earlier on Wednesday, Peterborough finally agreed a fee for Baldock after having several bids rejected this summer.
However, after holding talks with the Championship new boys the move has collapsed after negotiations broke down between both parties.
It means Posh boss Darren Ferguson will have to look elsewhere for striking reinforcements after missing out on his top target Baldock.
Baldock scored 14 goals for MK Dons last season and has been identified by Posh as a replacement for Craig Mackail-Smith.
