Seasiders' interest surprises teenage midfielder

Daniel Kearns claims he was unaware that Blackpool scouts were on hand to see him in action on Friday night. The Seasiders had representatives in attendance for Dundalk's meeting with Galway United at Oriel Park. They were there to see former West Ham trainee Kearns, with the 19-year-old winger drawing plenty of admiring glances of late. He is flattered to be the subject of Championship interest, but insists he will not let the speculation distract him from his efforts at Airtricity Premier League outfit Dundalk. "I actually wasn't really (aware of it)," Kearns told the club's official website. "I don't let those things get to me. I just try to get on with my game and play the way I normally play. "If they're watching then that's obviously good for me, but I try to put those things out of my head before the game and just get on with it. I was happy enough with how I played."
