Peterborough United have agreed an undisclosed fee for Dagenham & Redbridge pair Shane Blackett and Craig Mackail-Smith.
Posh director of football Barry Fry confirmed having discussions with defender Blackett and striker Mackail-Smith, with the duo set to move to London Road in the January transfer window.
Both players have been instrumental in taking The Daggers to second in the Conference table this season.
Mackail-Smith, 22, has scored 10 goals in 19 appearances for the Essex-based club, while Blackett has come on leaps and bounds since arriving at Victoria Road in May 2004 from fellow non-league side Arlesey Town.
Fry confirmed Peterborough were keen to offer both players a chance to try their luck in The Football League in the New Year.
"They are two players that (manager) Keith Alexander has identified that he wants to bring in during the January transfer window and the deal will be completed next month," Fry told the club's official website.
Under new Posh chairman Darragh MacAnthony, Peterborough are aiming to strengthen further in January, as they look to win promotion from League Two at the season's end.
