Posh squander lead

Peterborough squandered a two goal lead to draw with Wrexham at London Road.

Peterborough boss Barry Fry will be fuming after watching his side squander a two goal lead at London Road to draw 2-2 with Wrexham.

The Posh were excellent in the early exchanges and were ahead after just one minute, when Callum Willock dispatched a left footed drive from just outside the six yard box.

Within 11 minutes and the home side had doubled their advantage, as skipper Guy Branston used his considerable physique to ram home a close range header.

Willock then struck the post before Spaniard Juan Ugarte handed Wrexham a lifeline as he dispatched from five yards on the stroke of half-time.

An entertaining contested ended as a stalemate when in the second period, Branston and Ugarte challenged for an Andy Holt delivery from the left and the ball was stabbed home off both players.

Wrexham will be delighted with the manner of their fightback but the result leaves both clubs firmly rooted in the relegation mire.
