Grimsby Town are not pursuing their interest in strikers Ville Vaisanen and Richard Logan.
Finnish hit-man Vaisanen returns to Swedish club Ljungskile after failing to appear in a reserve match for The Mariners earlier this week.
The tall 27-year-old looked not to have impressed the League Two club enough to stay on at Blundell Park.
"Ville did okay for us, but you've got to look at whether he is better than what we have already got," assistant manager Graham Rodger told the club's official website.
Grimsby are also unlikely to pursue their interest in Peterborough United marksman Logan.
Manager Russell Slade had agreed a deal with The Posh to trial Logan at Blundell Park, but it seems The Mariners will not follow through with their interest in the player.
