Notts County goalkeeper Fabian Spiess has joined Bristol Rovers on loan for a month.
Spiess, 21, has been restricted to two appearances for Notts this season, both in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy, due to the form of veteran Roy Carroll. Notts have included a 24-hour recall clause in the deal, while Spiess will hope for regular first-team football with promotion-chasing Conference side Rovers, who are currently third in the tablle. Kevin Pilkington will continue at Meadow Lane as number two to former Manchester United goalkeeper Carroll.
