Plymouth Argyle have released midfielder Luke Young along with six other first-team players.

Midfielder Young is arguably the highest profile departure from Home Park having played 108 times for the Pilgrims since progressing through the youth system, while goalkeeper Jake Cole and defender Maxime Blanchard depart after three years in Devon. The other players bidding farewell to the club are Neal Trotman, Matt Parsons, Rommy Boco and young forward Isaac Vassell. Long-serving defender Paul Wotton will be given the chance to break the record as the club's all-time appearance holder having been offered a deal to stay next season along with Durrell Berry, Andres Gurrieri, Matt Lecointe, Curtis Nelson and Nathan Thomas. Argyle have also exercised a clause in Tyler Harvey's contract to extend his stay beyond this season while apprentices River Allen and Aaron Bentley have been offered their first professional deals and will stay along with the eight other professionals currently under contract at Home Park.
