Kaid Mohamed is hungry to cement his place in the Port Vale first team after making his full debut at the weekend.

Vale forward Mohamed was in action in Saturday's 2-1 win over Bradford in League One. The 29-year-old, who joined the Valiants from Cheltenham this summer, believes he needs regular football in order to boost his sharpness and is looking forward to playing some part against Oldham at the weekend. He told the club's official website: "Nobody likes being on the bench, it's more or less just about waiting for your chance and then obviously just taking it. "I thought I did well during the 90 minutes, I think I need a few games to get up to match fitness. "I am feeling fit but playing games makes you feel sharper, I am just glad to be in the team, winning and getting three points. "I think I can give a lot more, it was my first game, I was a little bit nervy but you want to get into it and do the right things. "I'm excited to be playing and I can't wait to be playing on Saturday again. "I try and bring energy, every time I get the ball I am looking to create something and get forward. "The gaffer wants me to be positive and just get at defenders and just cause problems really."
