Norburn eyeing Pirates victory

Oli Norburn believes Bristol Rovers can bag their long-awaited first win of the season at Exeter on Saturday.

The Pirates have endured a slow start to their campaign and currently lie in the relegation places, but two draws in their last two outings have left Norburn certain the opening victory is imminent. "Exeter will be a good test, but with the last performances we have had I don't see why we cannot go there and come away with all three points," he told the club's official website. Norburn, 19, has started the last two matches and is hopeful of becoming a regular fixture in Mark McGhee's first XI. He added: "I am happy to be starting now. I just want to keep my place in the team and hopefully kick on with more good performances. "It is a team game and I believed I would get my chance. When I got my chance I thought I would be able to take it, and hopefully I am doing that."
