Dave Clarkson has linked up with Bristol Rovers for pre-season training, reuniting with former Motherwell coach Mark McGhee.
The striker, who was released by rivals Bristol City in the summer, played under Rovers manager Mark McGhee at Motherwell. The 26-year-old then moved to Bristol City in 2009 for a reported fee in the region of £800,000. The Scotland international found himself frozen out of first-team matters at Ashton Gate and joined Brentford on a month's loan last season, scoring one goal in four matches. Clarkson scored 26 goals in 72 games for McGhee during his time at Fir Park.
