Gulls quartet rewarded

Four Torquay players have been included in the PFA League Two Team of the Year.

Goalkeeper Bobby Olejnik, defender Kevin Nicholson and midfield pair Lee Mansell and Eunan O'Kane have been recognised by their peers for their roles in pushing the Gulls to within touching distance of an automatic promotion place this term. Olejnik has been in sensational form, breaking the club record with 20 clean sheets in his first season at Plainmoor, while veteran full-back Nicholson has contributed four goals from the left of defence. O'Kane has become one of the division's most highly sought-after young prospects after a break-out season during which he was nominated as one of the best five players in League Two. And Mansell has converted himself into a fine goalscoring midfielder, scoring 13 goals and captaining the team to the cusp of glory. A statement from Torquay read: "It is a very proud achievement for United and everyone at Plainmoor would like to congratulate these four players, as well as their team-mates and coaching staff for helping make this possible."
