Bristol Rovers midfielder Matt Gill thinks Eliot Richards has all the hallmarks of a top-quality striker.

Twenty-year-old Richards has enjoyed a rich vein of form since manager Mark McGhee took over at the Memorial Stadium, scoring in two of the Scot's three games in charge. And after making a big impression during his breakthrough season with the Pirates, Gill is convinced Richards will go on to great things. "Eliot Richards is one of the boys who has had a great start under the new manager," he said. "He's got tremendous ability and if he keeps improving he's going to be a great asset to the club. He's got the potential to (play at a high level) and I'm sure he will if he puts his mind to it. "A lot of young talent is at the club and that can only bode well for Bristol Rovers."
