Clarkson faces uncertain future

Bristol City striker David Clarkson is unsure whether he will be able to extend his loan spell at League One side Brentford.

The 26-year-old, who scored at both ends in last weekend's 2-2 draw at Carlisle, is due to return to Ashton Gate after Saturday's clash with Scunthorpe. But with the Championship club currently managerless, Clarkson admits his future is up in the air. "I've enjoyed my time at Brentford and played a few games which has given me confidence," he told the Hounslow Chronicle. "I feel like I'm in between clubs at the moment because I don't know what's going on at Bristol City. "But if Brentford want to extend my loan it's something I will have to look at because I'm getting games here. My loan is coming to an end just as I'm getting into a run."
