Cheltenham's new signing Kaid Mohamed is hungry to succeed and feels he has a point to prove in the Football League.
The Cardiff-born striker, 26, completed a move to Whaddon Road on Monday having spent two months with AFC Wimbledon during which time he scored five goals in 10 games to help clinch promotion to League Two. Mohamed had previously been at Bath City where he found the net 26 times in 65 appearances before a falling out in March led to his departure and subsequent stint with the Dons. But he is now eager to prove his worth at Cheltenham, with his only previous taste of League football coming in a short spell with Swindon in 2007/08. "Signing for AFC Wimbledon was a great little move for me and I really enjoyed it," said the 26-year-old. "I could have stayed there to be fair but I didn't want to move too far away from home and Cheltenham is a great club which is right on my doorstep. "I think I have a point to prove in the Football League for both myself and the gaffer. I scored eighteen goals in the Blue Square South and then Premier, as well as scoring a few for AFC Wimbledon. Hopefully I can do the same here."
