Byron Anthony has expressed delight at signing a new deal with Bristol Rovers.
Rovers are in the hunt for a play-off place, but they are still giving attention to their long-term plans and have handed the defender a deal which ties him to the club until the summer of 2009.
Anthony made a fine start to the season before picking up an injury and he has expressed delight at being rewarded by Paul Trollope.
"I was delighted to be offered a new deal, because I'm absolutely loving it here," Anthony told the club's official website. "It's the best time of my career so far and I'm enjoying every moment of it and hoping I can go forward with Rovers.
"It's nice to get something settled. I thought I worked hard before Christmas. I was in the team and doing quite well, but the injury I picked up at Walsall set me back a little bit.
"It's just nice now to be able to settle down and to have signed a new deal. I have big plans for the future, and so do Bristol Rovers, so hopefully we can go forward together."
