Bristol Rovers midfielder Craig Disley has put pen-to-paper on a new two-year deal at the Memorial Stadium.

Disley's current deal was not due to expire until the end of next season but management duo Paul Trollope and Lennie Lawrence were keen to tie the 24-year-old to a new contract.

The former Mansfield Town man joined the club in 2004 after spending his entire career with The Stags and has made over 60 appearances in his two seasons with The Pirates.

"I'm delighted to have agreed a new two-year deal," Disley told the club's official website.

"It's good to have it sorted out so early in pre-season, so I can now concentrate fully on getting fit and ready for the new season.

"We've got a good squad of players here, capable of doing well under Paul Trollope and Lennie Lawrence and it's great to be a part of that for the next two seasons."
