Stockport defender Michael Raynes is hoping to get to the root of his mysterious heart condition.
The teenager suffered heart palpitations after County's 5-2 victory over Wrexham last month and has not played since.
He is eager to return to action but tests have not yet been able to reveal the extent of the problem.
"I had a week off after Wrexham while I waited for the doctors to get in touch with me," he told Stockport's official website.
"I then went to see a specialist. I've seen him twice in fact.
"I've had echo scans on my heart and everything has come back all clear."
Raynes is now set to undergo more medical examinations in a bid to clear up the confusion.
"I am going to have an operation this week when they put a camera in one of my arteries to have a look around," he explained.
