Stockport County defender Michael Raynes has signed a one-year extension to his Edgeley Park contract.
The 19-year-old's new deal will now keep with The Hatters until the summer of 2008, having established himself as a first-team regular with the Cheshire outfit.
Raynes is keen to add to the 49 appearances he has already made for Stockport in his young career.
"I had no hesitation in pledging my future to County," Raynes told the club's official website.
"The contract gives me a bit of stability, which is important and to be honest I'm chuffed to bits."
The news comes as Norman Beverley was formally appointed chairman of the League Two club.
Beverley has been in the position of acting chairman since March and will now remain in his new post for the next two seasons.
