Stockport boss Chris Turner has started the overhaul of his squad by releasing six players and transfer listing a further four.
The Hatters endured a miserable season last time out and Turner is determined to entirely revamp his playing staff for next term's assault on League Two.
Stockport finished bottom of the pile last season and with this in mind, Turner has decided against renewing the contracts of Chris Armstrong, Marvin Robinson, Lee Cartwright, Jim Goodwin, John Hardiker and Stuart Barlow.
Whilst there was little surprise with the majority of Turner's decisions, the departures of captain Goodwin and supporters' favourite Barlow has caused eyebrows to be raised.
Also likely to leave Edgeley Park in the summer are Neil Cutler, Danny Jackman, Danny Griffin and Chris Williams - who have all been transfer listed.
Despite the mass exodus, Turner is keen to retain the services of Ludovic Dje, with the big Frenchan to be offered a deal on his return to England.
''I will be offering Ludovic a contract,'' said Turner.
''He's gone home to France but he'll report back for pre-season training and we should have a contract ready for him to sign when he comes back.''
