STOCKPORT COUNTY are set to complete the deal to take Fredrik Bryngelsson to Edgeley Park from Allsvenskan outfit BK Hacken.
The defender, 25, is close to signing a two-year deal with the First Division outfit after meeting with manager Andy Kilner at the weekend.
It was revealed some time ago that County were trailing an un-named Swedish star and it has now emerged that Bryngelsson was the mystery man.
The central defender has scored four goals in 51 appearances for the Gothenborg-based club since joining from IF Norrby in 1998.
Meanwhile, Bristol Rovers keeper Lee Jones could also be heading for Edgeley Park after it has been confirmed that talks have been on-going between the two clubs.
The transfer-listed Welshman is one of a number of Kilner`s targets, as is a mystery French defender.
