Shrewsbury have made another signing in defender Cameron Gayle, on a two-year deal, the club have confirmed.
The 21-year-old has re-joined Shrewsbury having previously been on loan at the club over the last two seasons. He arrives on a free transfer after leaving first club West Brom. Shrews manager Micky Mellon told the club's official website: "I'm delighted to get Cameron on board, he's a terrific young defender who can cover a number of positions across the back four but especially in both full-back positions. "He's a terrific athlete who has come from such a good club as West Brom so he has been schooled in the right way and is the type of player we want at the club. "There are options all over the squad but what I didn't want to do was to pull people out of their preferred position like we had to do last year. "We've now got right-backs who are right-backs and I like Jermaine Grandison in that position as well. "Cameron is the right age, a good footballer, an all round good guy and I'm excited about having another huge potential player in the building." Gayle made three appearances for Shrews last season and 18 during the previous campaign. He made one substitute appearance for West Brom.
