Turner upbeat despite defeat

Graham Turner felt there were several positives from Shrewsbury's display, despite losing 3-1 to Bolton in the Capital One Cup.

Youngster Sanmi Odelusi helped himself to two well-taken goals after Aaron Wildig had cancelled out Robert Hall's opener. "It was disappointing the way we conceded the goals," Turner admitted. "But I think it's encouraging the way we stuck at it and the way we played at times. "We might have scored more, we got ourselves in good positions, but missed the target from several good shooting opportunities. "We stuck to the game plan and tried to work the ball into good areas, which we have done, and we've been caught on the counter attack by a very good side that's been quick, decisive and clinical in their finishing." The Shrews' cause was not helped by an early injury to striker John Marsden which leaves Tom Bradshaw as the only fit and available recognised forward. "It looks as though he's broken a bone in his foot," Turner revealed. "He's gone off to hospital so that's obviously a blow for us."
