Vale hopeful on Vincent

League Two outfit Port Vale hope winger Ashley Vincent will only be absent for "a couple of weeks" through injury.

Vincent was carried off on a stretcher with a suspected broken leg towards the end of Vale's 2-0 defeat at Bristol Rovers on Tuesday night. But while the club still do not know the full extent of the injury, it seems it is not as bad as initially feared. Chairman Paul Wildes told The Sentinel: "We're still not sure if it's a fracture or not, but we are more optimistic about a quick recovery than we were. "It could be a crack or a chip or maybe even just severe bruising, but he will be out for a couple of weeks."
