Graham Turner does not expect Aaron Wildig to be available for Shrewsbury's FA Cup second-round clash with Rotherham on Saturday.

Wildig, who joined the Shrews from Cardiff earlier this month, has been on the winning team in each of his three appearances since arriving at Greenhous Meadow.

But the young midfielder is struggling with an ankle injury picked up in the 2-0 win over Morecambe last week, and his boss is preparing to be without him this weekend.

Turner told the club's official website: "I originally thought it was going to be weeks rather than days. If he needs a scan he will have to have one later this week.

"It's just trying to get the swelling down and seeing how it goes from there.

"I don't think he's got too much of a chance for this weekend but we hope it won't be too long."
