Shrewsbury boss Graham Turner praised striker Tom Bradshaw after the youngster bagged the only goal in a 1-0 victory over Accrington.
Bradshaw marked his first League Two start of the season with the winning strike, as Shrewsbury edged past struggling Stanley to climb into third place in the table.
The teenage forward struck midway through the first half when he confidently swept home a Lionel Ainsworth cross, and Turner was delighted with his contribution.
"It was a great ball in from Lionel, an early cross, and Tom got in front of the defender and finished it off very well," he said.
"He was very sharp and I was pleased for him. He's been in the Wales Under-21 side this season and has played at that level so it must be disappointing he didn't even make the bench on Saturday.
"But it changes rapidly in football and not only has he got a starting position tonight, he's got the only goal of the game."
