Forward given go-ahead to return to training

Preston forward Paul Parry is set to return in time for pre-season training following a nightmare debut season at Deepdale. The 29-year-old joined the club from Championship rivals Cardiff last summer, but a bout of tendonitis forced him out of action. However, the Welshman has now been given the all-clear to return to training, which is set to begin on Monday June 28. Club physio Matt Jackson told the club's official website: "Paul Parry has completed the required amount of rehab which the surgeons have suggested, he's currently not complaining of any discomfort but when he resumes pre-season training we will monitor him very closely. "With these types of injury there is always the potential that there might be a flare-up, it may not be immediately, it might take a knock or something like that before it flares up. "We are just going to have to monitor him very closely to manage the problem and give him every chance to train as much as possible and get himself fit."
