Anyon, Davidson, Prosser and Edwards offered deals

Joe Anyon, Ross Davidson, Luke Prosser and Paul Edwards have all been offered new contracts by Port Vale. Goalkeeper Anyon, midfielder Davidson and defenders Prosser and Edwards have all impressed sufficiently this season for the club to want them to stay on. The details of the contracts, including the length of the deals, remain confidential but the quartet now have four weeks in which to reply with their decisions. Scott Brown has not been offered terms by the club, joining fellow midfielder Dave Brammer after it was revealed on Wednesday he was also on his way out of Vale Park. Striker Kyle Perry was told some time ago he would not be offered a new deal, completing the list of seven players who were out of contract this summer. The club is still managerless after opting not to offer Dean Glover an extended stay at the helm, so it is unclear who had the final say over which players were kept on and which were allowed to leave. The League Two outfit are currently in the process of looking for a new boss and hope to be in a position to make an announcement in the near future.
