Keeper urges improvement in home form

Joe Anyon feels Port Vale have until the New Year to improve their home form in order to avoid a prolonged relegation battle. Vale are currently bottom of League One and have picked up just seven points out of a possible 27 on home soil. Highly-rated keeper Anyon is unable to put his finger on the reason for the team's poor form at Vale Park, but believes it is imperative that an upturn is imminent. "I can't say why our record is like that, but to be beaten that many times at home is terrible," Anyon told the Sentinel, with Saturday's loss to Doncaster the sixth at home this season. "If we don't turn it around by Christmas or New Year we will be struggling. "Home is where you stamp your authority. You have to win your home games. "They (the fans) are giving up their time and money to come and support us and it is poor if we can't win at home for them - you will get stick off the fans because everyone is entitled to their opinion."
