Shrewsbury boosted their chances of claiming a play-off place as they came from behind to beat Peterborough 2-1, while Rochdale won 1-0 at Chester.
Peter Gain's long-range strike put Peterborough ahead at Gay Meadow after 22 minutes, but Ben Davies grabbed an equaliser against the run of play in the 61st minute.
Davies' curler was Shrewsbury's first shot on target of the match, but it only got worse for Posh as Derek Asamoah popped up with a winner nine minutes from time.
The result draws Shrewsbury level on 52 points with Peterborough just outside the top seven, and they still have games in hand on those above them.
Rochdale's winning goal against Chester arrived after just five minutes from Louis Dodds.
Chester saw two penalty appeals turned down in the second half.
