Bottom of the table Torquay claimed a late draw at Chester.
The Gulls looked to be heading for defeat as Dean Bennett put the home side ahead just before the hour mark at The Deva Stadium.
However, in the final minute the visitors were awarded a spot-kick and Lee Thorpe (pictured) stepped up and fired home.
The point does little for Chester's play-off hopes, and the same can be said for Shrewsbury and Bristol Rovers who played out a goalless draw at Gay Meadow.
It should, though, have been three points for Shrewsbury - but Derek Asamoah failed to convert a spot-kick in the final minute as Steve Phillips saved his effort from 12-yards. Rovers' Craig Hinton was sent off following the penalty award.
