Shrewsbury have extended goalkeeper Scott Shearer's loan deal until the end of the season.
The Bristol Rovers man has been in good form since joining in October, becoming manager Gary Peters's first choice ahead of Chris MacKenzie.
And Peters is hopeful that he can help the side to secure a play-off spot.
"We are going to take Scott Shearer now until the end of May on loan," he told the club's official website.
"He'll be able to play for us in every game from now until May bar playing against Bristol Rovers, so the Johnstone's Paint Trophy games, the league game and if we are both lucky enough to meet in the play-offs and play each other."
