Bury have completed the capture of Glynn Hurst on a month's loan from Shrewsbury.
Hurst is currently out of favour at Gay Meadow and manager Gary Peters has allowed him to depart to regain match sharpness.
Peters was keen for Hurst to secure first-team football as his chances with The Shrews are currently slim.
Hurst is an experienced striker having gone on to play for Notts County, Chesterfield and Stockport after beginning his career with Barnsley.
The 30-year-old is now in line to make his Shakers debut against Barnet at Gigg Lane on Saturday.
Meanwhile, Bury will field trialists Michael Allen and Richard Shittu in their reserve clash with Rochdale.
