Notts County midfielder Richard Butcher could be out until the New Year with a foot injury.
Butcher suffered a suspected fractured metatarsal during the Magpies' 1-1 draw with Kettering Town on Sunday.
The 27-year-old was replaced in the first half of the FA Cup second-round tie and will undergo a scan on the injury this week.
If the X-ray confirms the diagnosis, then Butcher is likely to face a period of around six weeks on the sidelines.
He has been an influential figure for the Magpies this season, having started every game and chipping in with seven goals to be the team's leading scorer.
