Lincoln City have signed striker Mark Stallard from League Two rivals Shrewsbury Town.
The 31-year-old leaves the Shropshire outfit after just one season with Gary Peters's side, having signed on free transfer from Barnsley last summer.
The former Derby County, Bradford City, Wycombe Wanderers and Notts County hit-man has agreed on a two-year contract with The Imps, despite leaving The Shrews with a year left on his deal at Gay Meadow.
"If a team is willing to give Mark a two-year contract when he has only a year left with us, then it's only fair that I mention it to him," Peters told the club's official website.
"Mark is a family man and lives between Nottingham and Derby, which is only 35 miles to Lincoln, but its 95 miles to here."
Stallard's arrival at Sincil Bank coincides with Lincoln's decision to withdraw their contract offer to fellow striker Gary Birch.
The former Walsall and Kidderminster Harriers man joined The Imps last summer, but he looks set to move on after failing to concur on new contract terms with the League Two outfit.
