Robbo defiant in defeat

MK Dons manager Karl Robinson felt his side played the better football in their 2-1 defeat at leaders Leyton Orient.

Two superb goals graced the first-half. Orient fell behind when Chelsea loanee Patrick Bamford struck on the half-hour to record his 11th goal of the season. But 20-year-old Moses Odubajo equalised four minutes before the interval and it was old-stager Kevin Lisbie who had the final word, stabbing home a pass from strike partner Mooney in the 66th minute to seal the points for the home side. "There were two good teams out there and I thought that we played more football than they did," Robinson said. "But that's the way we are and how we try to play, but I don't think my players deserved to be on the losing side. "Both sides were a little bit sloppy in the first 10, but after that we dominated the remainder of the next 30 and played as we wanted to and how we've been trying to play and looked very good before we became a bit ragged in the last five. "That allowed them to nick a goal and they went on the front foot. "But that first 10 minutes and the last five were all I could be critical of the players about. We didn't deserve to lose. "We've given a good account of ourselves. Orient have not had to make many changes this season, but we lacked fluency. "The effort was there, but when you are having to keep making changes, then that hampers the fluency you need. "But I'm backing my players on their performance because I thought we worked hard. "But you have to take your hats off to Leyton Orient. Why are they where they are? It's because they work hard."
