Crawley Town defender Kyle McFadzean has been suspended for three matches after his appeal against a retrospective red card was rejected.
McFadzean was handed the charge after the Football Association reviewed the video of the post-match brawl that followed Crawley's 2-1 win over Bradford City at Valley Parade. Five players were dismissed in the immediate aftermath of the incident, and McFadzean will now join Claude Davis and Pablo Mills on the sidelines after they were dealt four and three-game bans respectively. The news will come as a blow to the promotion-chasers, and McFadzean was keen to express his disappointment at the FA's decision to hold the hearing behind closed doors. He said: "Despite the decision that I have lost my appeal against my retrospective red card against Bradford City, I still remain disappointed that I was not allowed to attend the FA hearing and explain my side of the story. "I respect the FA decision but it is now about moving on, but before I do I must apologise to the gaffer, the rest of my team-mates and, of course, our supporters who as always have been supportive of myself and the squad."
