Sanchez: Bees must keep buzzing

Lawrie Sanchez has told Barnet their post-Christmas purple patch will count for nothing if they do not back it up in the coming weeks.

Sanchez issued the warning after the Bees secured their fourth consecutive win with a 2-0 victory over Crewe in Saturday's League Two clash at Underhill. Nine-man Crewe, who had David Artell and Adam Dugdale sent off in the first half, were seen off by Izale McLeod's penalty and Michael Hector's strike. But despite his delight Sanchez urged his side to keep their foot on the gas. "It's a decent little run we've put together in January with four wins and a draw," he said. "We've got ourselves away from those bottom places but it's how we approach the next few games that is the important thing. "The penalty and the sending off was probably the turning point in this game because it livened us up a bit."
